PT Jamkrindo emerged as one of the state-owned enterprises (BUMN) that responded swiftly and effectively to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, the company has successfully implemented preventive measures, with no reported COVID-19 cases among its employees.

To anticipate potential disruptions and risks caused by the pandemic, PT Jamkrindo adopted a Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategy. BCM is a holistic approach that includes: Developing policies and preventive measures, Risk identification and mitigation, Establishing an organizational structure and responsibilities, Implementing new work mechanisms and operational procedures for business recovery.

"We took action immediately on March 10 when the first cases were reported. Our priority was activating the BCM team to ensure business operations continued smoothly," said PT Jamkrindo’s President Director, Randi Anto, during a virtual discussion on 'BUMN Strategies in Facing the New Normal' on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

In compliance with the Ministry of SOEs’ regulations during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), PT Jamkrindo transitioned most of its employees to remote work.

"Initially, we implemented work-from-home for the majority of employees. As government guidelines became clearer, we fully aligned with the Ministry of SOEs and the Health Ministry’s health protocols," Randi explained.

To support employee management and business processes during the pandemic, technology played a crucial role. Digitalization efforts included: Employee Self-Service System – Employees clock in, report daily tasks, and submit health status through an integrated mobile application, Process Digitalization – Minimizing direct contact while maintaining business continuity, Risk Control Mechanisms – PT Jamkrindo implemented daily monitoring of employee health status.

"We focused on four key areas: people, processes, technology, and business continuity," Randi emphasized.

Despite transitioning to the New Normal, PT Jamkrindo remains vigilant by conducting random rapid tests for 100 employees to ensure workplace safety.

"Alhamdulillah, we have had no COVID-19 cases among Jamkrindo employees. We continue daily monitoring through our self-service system, and today, we conducted random rapid testing for 100 workers," Randi added.

Beyond maintaining internal operations, PT Jamkrindo is committed to driving economic recovery by introducing new guarantee schemes that align with the changing business landscape.

"We hope that Jamkrindo’s guarantee programs in this new era can help stimulate economic activity while adapting to new business models and interactions," said Randi.
