To help alleviate the burden on communities and support COVID-19 mitigation efforts, PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) continues to provide sustainable assistance through the "Jamkrindo Peduli Dampak COVID-19" initiative across multiple locations in Indonesia.
The aid has been distributed directly and through the BUMN Disaster Task Force in various provinces, including: Gorontalo, Southeast Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, North Maluku, Lampung, Medan, Central Java, West Java, and many more.
Jamkrindo President Director, Randi Anto, stated that the assistance provided includes basic food supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE). As of the first week of May 2020, Jamkrindo has distributed aid worth IDR 1.25 billion.
"This assistance is a tangible expression of Jamkrindo’s care and will continue as part of our spirit of mutual cooperation for Indonesia," Randi said in a press release.
Beyond providing immediate aid, Jamkrindo is committed to strengthening MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) to enhance their resilience during the pandemic. This commitment is demonstrated through: Partnership Loan Programs – Providing working capital loans for micro-entrepreneurs who are feasible but not bankable, ensuring that small businesses can continue operating, MSME Business Mentorship – Offering guidance and training to MSMEs to improve their business sustainability, Loan Restructuring – Extending loan periods or postponing installment payments for MSME partners affected by COVID-19.
"We are dedicated to running our partnership program, ensuring that MSMEs become strong, independent, and contribute to economic recovery," Randi added.
Jamkrindo also supports community empowerment through its hydroponic farming training program for the Ciletuh Homestay Association in Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark. Since mid-March 2020, this initiative has aimed to: Enhance homestay owners' income through organic vegetable farming, Conduct online training to maintain social distancing, Provide alternative economic opportunities for tourism-dependent businesses.
As the largest credit guarantee company in Indonesia, PT Jamkrindo is now a member of the Insurance and Guarantee Holding, under PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero).
