Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, PT Jamkrindo remains committed to continuing to distribute partnership loans to its partners. The provision of working capital loans through this partnership program is expected to help stimulate the economy, particularly for micro-businesses that are feasible but not bankable.
"We are always committed to running this partnership program. This program aims to improve the capabilities of Jamkrindo's small business partners, making them resilient and independent, while also providing a multiplier effect for the betterment of the community's welfare," said President Director Randi Anto.
As of now, Jamkrindo has 2,342 partners spread across Indonesia. Some of them have even graduated to becoming bankable. "Not only do we provide credit, but we also offer assistance to our MSME partners," said Randi.
During the pandemic, Jamkrindo has actively continued to distribute partnership loans. Most recently, Jamkrindo provided partnership loans to laundry business owners in Bali and Pekanbaru, as well as food entrepreneurs in Pekanbaru.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamkrindo has consistently supported its partners. In Ciletuh Palabuhanratu Unesco Global Geopark, Jamkrindo provided training and the supply of organic vegetables using a hydroponic planting system to the Ciletuh Homestay Association since mid-March, adding value to the homestays and generating additional income for the homestay owners.
The training was conducted online to avoid in-person meetings, and participants were educated about safe physical distancing to minimize physical contact during the hydroponic vegetable planting process.
Currently, several homestay owners have harvested vegetables using the hydroponic planting method in the homestay gardens. After the first planting phase, the homestay owners proceeded with the second planting phase, and after the pandemic subsides, these hydroponically grown vegetables will serve as an educational tool for tourists.
In line with the current economic developments, PT Jamkrindo has also restructured partnership loans for partners affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The form of restructuring includes extending the loan term or deferring installment payments, based on requests from the partners. This initiative is PT Jamkrindo's response and corporate responsibility in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.
PT Jamkrindo is a guarantee company currently part of the Insurance and Guarantee holding, with the parent holding being PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero).
