Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) will hold the UMKM Appreciation Awards and Festival UMKM with the aim of giving recognition to the UMKM guaranteed by Perum Jamkrindo. This event is also organized to strengthen the role and function of Perum Jamkrindo as the only state-owned enterprise (SOE) in the field of UMKM guarantees.
"The Jamkrindo UMKM Appreciation Awards and Festival UMKM 2019 are expected to boost the spirit of UMKM development and raise awareness in the community, particularly among UMKM, about Jamkrindo's role," said Perum Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, during the presentation of the UMKM Appreciation Awards and Festival UMKM 2019 activities at the Jamkrindo Building Multipurpose Room in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
Present at the presentation were the Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management, I Rusdonobanu, the Director of Guarantee Business, Amin Mas’udi, the Head of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Risk Management and Ranking Division, Ceriandri Widuri, and the Corporate Secretary, Abdul Bari.
Randi Anto stated that the Jamkrindo UMKM Appreciation Awards and Festival UMKM 2019 consist of a series of events held over two days, on Friday and Saturday, November 29-30, 2019, at Plaza Festival and Hotel JS Luwansa.
As of December 31, 2019, Perum Jamkrindo guarantees 6.4 million UMKM debtors. During the UMKM Appreciation Awards, 68 guaranteed UMKMs will be nominated, consisting of 37 micro businesses, 18 small businesses, and 13 medium businesses. "From the selection process, 9 UMKMs from various regions will receive awards according to their business category: micro, small, or medium," Randi said.
As part of the UMKM Appreciation Awards, Perum Jamkrindo will also hold the Economic Outlook 2020 seminar with the theme "Strategies for Strengthening UMKM HR Capabilities in the Digital Era and Global Competition."
This seminar will take place at Hotel JS Luwansa, featuring speakers both internal and external to the organization, including Amin Mas'udi, the Director of Business Guarantees at Perum Jamkrindo, Fadjar Hutomo from the Deputy of Capital Access at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Diaspora Network Indonesia United's Ira Damayanti, and Ismail Fahmi, CEO of Media Kernels Indonesia.
The seminar will be attended by the Deputy for Financing at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Yuana Sutyowati, as the keynote speaker. The Economic Outlook 2020 seminar is open to the public, and the registration has already exceeded the capacity, with a total of 160 participants.
The UMKM Festival 2019 is one of the ways Perum Jamkrindo facilitates UMKMs to enhance their business capabilities and network with various parties. The Festival includes exhibitions, business insight classes, one-on-one coaching, business licensing booths, short video competitions with the theme "Social Impact of UMKM," as well as children's competitions such as coloring contests, youth mini soccer, and "gobak sodor" (a traditional Indonesian game).
A total of 181 UMKMs registered for the expo, but only 66 UMKMs were selected to participate, covering sectors like fashion, arts & crafts, and food. Registration for the business classes reached 618 UMKMs, which will be divided into six different classes. Meanwhile, 191 UMKMs signed up for one-on-one coaching. Through the business classes and one-on-one coaching, UMKMs are expected to improve and strengthen their human resources and businesses to be more competitive.
The competition saw 100 participants for the coloring contest, 20 teams in the "gobak sodor" contest, and 16 teams for the youth mini soccer, all from elementary and junior high schools in Jakarta and surrounding areas. On Saturday, November 30, 2019, a morning exercise event will be held at the GOR Soemantri Brodjonegoro, open to the public.
Perum Jamkrindo is the only state-owned enterprise (SOE) in the guarantee sector. Through its core business, Perum Jamkrindo supports the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to help boost national economic growth. Perum Jamkrindo’s contribution is provided through guarantee services, giving UMKMs the opportunity to access financing from financial institutions. Based on Government Regulation (PP) No. 35/2018 concerning Perum Jamkrindo, the company also carries out non-UMKM guarantees in collaboration with other SOEs.
Regarding business performance, Perum Jamkrindo continues to report an increase in guarantee volume. By October 2019, the credit guarantee volume reached IDR 177.99 trillion, an increase of 19.19% from October 2018, which was IDR 148.5 trillion. The guarantee volume consisted of IDR 125 trillion in non-KUR guarantees (70% of the total guarantees) and IDR 52.88 trillion in KUR guarantees (30%). The guarantee volume achieved by October 2019 was 97.6% of the 2019 Company Work and Budget Plan target.
