As a form of concern for education, Perum Jamkrindo consistently provides assistance in the education sector, one of which is the Reading Park program spread across various regions in Indonesia.
This state-owned enterprise in the guarantee sector channeled its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance through a Reading Park program at SD Negeri 01 Teluk, Labuan, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The assistance was handed over by the Head of the CSR Division of Perum Jamkrindo, Wildan Firdaus, on September 13, 2019. The aid was received by the Head of SD Negeri 01 Teluk, Rokayah.
The students were very enthusiastic about the presence of the Reading Park. This donation from Perum Jamkrindo is a manifestation of the state-owned enterprise's commitment to the nation, the result of synergy with Balai Pustaka. The state-owned enterprise wants to continue playing a role as a development agent to help improve the living standards of the community and the surrounding environment.
Previously, Perum Jamkrindo also conducted a school supplies distribution initiative in conjunction with its 49th anniversary in July 2019, carried out simultaneously through the head office, 9 regional offices, and 56 branches of Perum Jamkrindo. The aid provided through the Jamkrindo Peduli Pendidikan (JPP) program included 49,000 school supply packages consisting of elementary and junior high school textbooks, knowledge books, fiction books, and educational support items such as stationery and notebooks. A total of 96 schools across Indonesia received the educational assistance.
Perum Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, stated that since it was initiated in 2018, the Jamkrindo Peduli Pendidikan movement has been carried out to reduce the educational burden on underprivileged students, while also encouraging all members of Perum Jamkrindo to care about educational issues happening in Indonesia.
