In celebration of Perum Jamkrindo's 49th anniversary, the company organized a social activity in the form of free eye examinations and the distribution of free eyeglasses to the residents of Dukupuntang Village, Cirebon, West Java, on Thursday, June 27, 2019. This social activity was part of the series of events leading up to the company's 49th anniversary on July 1, 2019.
The event was made possible through collaboration with the Cirebon District Government, the Cirebon Health Office, and the Indonesian Optometry Refractionist Association (Iropin). Perum Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, stated that the company worked with the Cirebon Health Office as the partner for this activity, with a total of 200 eyeglasses being distributed.
“This Eye Examination and Free Eyeglass Distribution activity is also a way for us to express our gratitude as we celebrate Perum Jamkrindo's 49th anniversary on July 1,” said Randi Anto in a press release.
Randi Anto added that every year, Perum Jamkrindo organizes social activities as part of its anniversary celebrations, including for the 49th anniversary in 2019. Similar activities were previously held in Ponorogo, East Java. "In addition to advancing our business, Perum Jamkrindo also remains consistent in engaging and participating in activities that directly benefit the community," he said.
On this occasion, Perum Jamkrindo's Corporate Secretary Abdul Bari was present to witness the social event, accompanied by the Regional Leader of Perum Jamkrindo's Bandung Branch, Dody Novarianto, and the Head of Cirebon Branch, Katarinus Andikaputra Nursantio.
The event was also attended by a representative from the Cirebon Health Office, Dr. Tetti Sri Nurliyawati, a representative from Dukupuntang Police Station, Wiyono, and the Dukupuntang District Head, Khaerudin, along with local leaders.
Abdul Bari explained that the purpose of the event in Dukupuntang was to alleviate the burden on the community by providing free eye examinations and eyeglasses to those in need. This initiative was driven by the fact that the eyes are a crucial part of the body, and any problems with vision can significantly affect daily activities.
“Our goal is to provide eye examinations and distribute free eyeglasses to at least 200 people in the Dukupuntang area. We hope that this assistance truly benefits the recipients and improves their lives after receiving the examination and eyeglasses,” said Abdul Bari.
The Regional Leader of Perum Jamkrindo's Bandung Branch, Dody Novarianto, mentioned that the community showed great enthusiasm to participate in the event. He hopes that this social event will also have an impact on the spread and expansion of Perum Jamkrindo's business in the Cirebon Branch area. “Through this activity, we want to get closer to the community and introduce Perum Jamkrindo to them,” he said.
In addition to the Free Eye Examination and Free Eyeglass Distribution, Perum Jamkrindo’s anniversary celebration also included other social activities, such as the Jamkrindo Peduli Pendidikan (JPP) program, which distributed 49,000 school kits nationwide, as well as charity donations for orphans and the distribution of food packages.
In terms of business performance, the volume of Credit Guarantee by Perum Jamkrindo reached Rp90.38 trillion as of May 2019, consisting of Non-KUR Guarantee of Rp65.37 trillion and KUR Guarantee of Rp25.01 trillion. The total assets in May 2019 amounted to Rp17.19 trillion, an increase of 5.81% from the assets as of December 31, 2018. Meanwhile, equity reached Rp11.55 trillion, a rise of 2.34% compared to December 31, 2018. The company’s profit before tax (EBT) in May 2019 was Rp302.52 billion, which is 42.37% of the 2019 budgeted EBT target of Rp714 billion.
