Perum Jamkrindo organized a blood donation event as part of the activities commemorating its 49th anniversary in Jakarta on Thursday, June 20, 2019. This event was held as a commitment to help those in need through blood donations from Perum Jamkrindo employees and the general public.
The blood donation took place on the 10th floor of the Jamkrindo Building in Jakarta and was attended by 300 donors, both from within Perum Jamkrindo and the general public, in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) North Jakarta branch. Perum Jamkrindo's President Director Randi Anto explained that the blood donation event has become a routine agenda ahead of the company's anniversary.
"Through this blood donation, we, the people of Perum Jamkrindo and the general public, want to contribute something we have, which is needed by others. This is a sign of our solidarity with the community in need of help," said Randi.
The Chairman of the 49th Anniversary Committee, Anggit Murdiwibowo, added that every year, Perum Jamkrindo always organizes social activities as part of its anniversary celebrations, including the events leading up to the 49th anniversary on July 1, 2019.
"In addition to the blood donation, the social activities held in celebration of the 49th anniversary include free eye checkups and glasses distribution for those in need in Majalengka Regency, West Java," explained Anggit.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Perum Jamkrindo also provided assistance to orphans, railway crossing gatekeepers, renovated three mosques in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, and provided facilities at a public cemetery in Jakarta. These activities were part of the Ramadan Safari and iftar gatherings held in 10 cities and at the head office.
The Ramadan Safari took place in Banjarmasin, Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, Kendari, Bandung, Palembang, Surabaya, Malang, Denpasar, and Serang. Through this activity, Perum Jamkrindo, which is primarily engaged in the guarantee business, aimed to get closer to the community and share with them, as part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri (State-Owned Enterprises Present for the Nation) program.
Perum Jamkrindo also provided free homecoming assistance for 1,700 travelers using trains, buses from Jakarta to various regions in Java and Sumatra, as well as ships on several routes, both from and to Java. This joint homecoming program aims to facilitate safe and comfortable homecoming trips.
In terms of business performance, Perum Jamkrindo recorded a guarantee volume of Rp 64.237 trillion in April 2019, which included Rp 18.126 trillion from the People's Business Credit Guarantee (KUR) and Rp 46.111 trillion from non-KUR guarantees. The guarantee volume in April 2019 grew 7.5 percent compared to April 2018.
