Perum Jamkrindo once again distributed aid to the surrounding community in line with Ramadan, free homecoming trips, and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1440 H/2019 M. This time, the aid was given to railroad crossing guards, orphans, and the underprivileged, as well as for the renovation of public bathrooms (MCK) at TPU Rawamangun.

The aid handover to the recipients was witnessed by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Rini Soemarno, in Jakarta on Friday (10/5/2019). The event took place alongside the verification of the homecoming participants at the Nyi Ageng Serang Building in Jakarta, coordinated by Jasa Raharja for the joint homecoming program.

The assistance provided by Perum Jamkrindo included free basic food packages for 100 railroad crossing guards, totaling IDR 25 million, renovation aid for the MCK at TPU Rawamangun amounting to IDR 40 million, and donations for orphans and underprivileged individuals in the Aisyiah Kayu Putih Rawa Mangun branch amounting to IDR 23 million.

Perum Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, stated that the distribution of this aid is in line with the company’s efforts to not only focus on business but also maintain good relationships with the surrounding community. "Through our partnership and community development programs, we aim to help ease the burdens of society. We hope our assistance will be beneficial to the community," Randi said.

One of the aid recipients, Slamet Harsono, shared that the free basic food packages were highly appreciated. “We thank Perum Jamkrindo for the assistance. This aid is very beneficial to us,” said Slamet.

A few days earlier, Perum Jamkrindo had also distributed aid for the renovation of three mosques in Banyumas Regency, Central Java. The renovation assistance was given to Al Hikmah Mosque in Sokawera-Rempoah, Baturaden; Al Arfi Mosque in Grumbul Ciberem, Banjarsari Kidul, Sokaraja; and Al Amin Mosque, Dr. Soeparno Street, Purwokerto Timur.

Randi Anto mentioned that this aid was given as a gesture of gratitude from Perum Jamkrindo in welcoming the month of Ramadan and as part of the company’s commitment to caring for the community through the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (SOEs Present for the Country) program.

Meanwhile, the Minister of BUMN, Rini Soemarno, who was present for the verification of homecoming passengers, stated that in 2019, the target for homebound travelers who would be sent by 104 SOEs was 250,338 people, an increase of 22.32 percent.

The goal of the homecoming activity is to encourage motorcyclists to switch to public transportation such as buses, trains, and ships to minimize traffic accidents. Additionally, it aims to fulfill the desire of lower-middle-income communities to return to their hometowns.

"This activity is a form of loyalty to loyal BUMN customers and a concrete step by SOEs in preventing accidents, enhancing brand awareness, and improving the company’s positioning," said Rini.
