In preparation for the upcoming Ramadan 1440 H, Perum Jamkrindo provided renovation assistance and inaugurated the usage of three mosques in Banyumas, Central Java, on Thursday (May 2, 2019). The renovation included electrical installations and power upgrades, improvement of ablution areas, wall painting, tile installations, and the construction and repair of toilets for the mosques.
The mosques that received assistance include Musala Al Hikmah in Sokawera-Rempoah, Baturaden; Musala Al Arfi in Grumbul Ciberem, Sokaraja; and Musala Al Amin in Purwokerto Timur. Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Randi Anto, explained that the assistance was given as a form of gratitude from Perum Jamkrindo in welcoming Ramadan and as part of the company's commitment to the "BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri" (SOEs Present for the Nation) program.
These mosques have long been used by local residents for worship and study sessions. Prior to the renovation, Musala Al Hikmah's electricity supply was sourced from a nearby house, and Musala Al Arfi had an insufficient electricity supply. Painting work was carried out in all three mosques.
“We hope that this assistance will help reduce costs and assist the community in carrying out their religious practices, especially as we approach the month of Ramadan when the mosques will be filled with worshippers for Taraweh prayers,” said Randi Anto, on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
The inauguration and symbolic handover of funds took place at each mosque. Also present at the inauguration were Wakhyu Hidayatullah, Head of Perum Jamkrindo’s Semarang Regional Office, and Galih Bagus Sadono, Head of the Purwokerto Branch.
“We hope this renovation assistance will provide added comfort to the community during their worship, especially as Ramadan is near. May these mosques help the community earn blessings during this holy month,” added Randi.
This assistance is part of Perum Jamkrindo's commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and serves as a form of empathy and care for the community, especially those in need of renovation funds for places of worship. As Ramadan approaches, Perum Jamkrindo hopes that these renovations will benefit the community. "We hope this assistance brings widespread benefits to the community," concluded Randi.
The mosque managements, including Akhmad Muhajir (Head of Musala Al Hikmah), Jumono (Head of Musala Al Arfi), and Suroso (Head of Musala Al Amin), expressed their gratitude to Perum Jamkrindo for the much-needed help. "We thank Perum Jamkrindo for the assistance. It is truly beneficial for us," said Akhmad Muhajir.
The renovation provided for each mosque included repairs such as the roof restoration, construction of toilets, wall painting, installation of tiles, electrical upgrades, and the addition of doors and windows. Specific details for each mosque are as follows: Musala Al Hikmah in Sokawera-Rempoah received roof repairs, toilet construction, wall painting inside and outside, tile installations, and electrical installations, Musala Al Arfi in Grumbul Ciberem received roof repairs, flooring work, wall painting inside and outside, toilet repairs, power upgrades, and door and window improvements, Musala Al Amin in Purwokerto Timur received scaffolding construction, roof repairs (using lightweight steel and Galvalume), and painting.
