Perum Jamkrindo, in collaboration with PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), conducted a capacity building and digital marketing optimization program for MSMEs involved in leather jacket production in Garut. This program is part of Jamkrindo's commitment to becoming a leading Guarantee Corporation that supports the development of the national economy.
Several programs were held to improve product quality and marketing effectiveness for MSME leather jacket entrepreneurs, who are grouped in various communities. The event took place at Fave Hotel, Cimanuk Street, Garut Regency, on February 26-27, 2019.
Through this program, MSMEs were provided with capacity building training and digital marketing optimization, in collaboration with other state-owned enterprises (BUMNs), namely PT Permodalan Nasional Madani.
Separately, Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, explained that this event is part of Perum Jamkrindo's Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL) aimed at helping MSMEs grow and develop. "By enhancing MSMEs' capacity building, we hope to add value to their businesses, allowing them to grow and thrive," said Randi Anto.
In 2018, Perum Jamkrindo, in collaboration with PNM, allocated partnership funds and provided guidance to selected MSMEs in three locations in Indonesia: Magelang, Padang, and Garut, with a total fund of IDR 2.5 billion.
Randi Anto further emphasized that in the future, Jamkrindo will continue to foster synergies with other BUMNs to support partnership programs for MSMEs, both independently and in collaboration with other BUMN partners.
At the same event, Gema Arief Pramuji, the Head of PT PNM Garut Branch, explained that PNM is a state-owned enterprise established to support the development of micro, small, medium-sized enterprises, and cooperatives (UMKMK). They are focused on improving the human resources of entrepreneurs in Garut while also providing working capital loans and guidance in cooperation with other BUMNs, including Jamkrindo.
"The capacity building held today is a synergy between Jamkrindo and PNM Garut, aimed at enhancing the capacity of human resources among our partners. We hope that, in this digital era, our partners will become more creative and innovative in marketing their products. This will help their businesses grow," said Gema.
Husni Adiin, the leader of the Leather Jacket Group, echoed these sentiments. Despite a packed schedule, Husni and his group, who have successfully exported jackets, expressed their hope for more frequent capacity building sessions with continuous improvements in the training materials.
"These types of sessions are very suitable for the current situation and are incredibly beneficial for our group. We hope that these activities and materials can continue to be improved in the future," Husni concluded.
