JAKARTA – The Guarantee and Financing Bureau of the Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Agency (Bapepam-LK) revealed that, overall, the guarantee companies industry has experienced an increase. Up to June 2011, the guarantee companies recorded a net profit of Rp229.06 billion compared to December 2010, when it had only reached Rp199.54 billion.
Based on data from the Guarantee and Financing Bureau of Bapepam-LK in Jakarta on Saturday (13/8/2011), total revenue up to June 2011 reached Rp379.74 billion, which increased compared to the end of 2010 when it was only Rp511.30 billion.
Meanwhile, the total outstanding guarantees up to June 2011 reached Rp61.14 trillion, a decrease compared to December 2010’s Rp66.56 trillion. This total consists of outstanding guarantees for productive business up to June 2011 at Rp15.97 trillion, an increase from the end of last year’s Rp15.84 trillion, and outstanding guarantees for non-productive business up to June 2011 at Rp45.16 trillion, a decrease from December 2010’s Rp50.72 trillion.
On the other hand, the quality of credit guarantees has been running well; up to June 2011, the percentage of performing credit guarantees reached 99.80 percent compared to 99.69 percent at the end of last year. In terms of non-performing credit guarantees, the figure only reached 0.04 percent up to June 2011 compared to 0.05 percent at the end of last year.
Meanwhile, the total assets of the guarantee companies up to June 2011 reached Rp3.53 trillion, which also increased compared to December 2010’s Rp2.93 trillion. Total expenses up to June 2011 reached Rp150.68 billion, a decrease from the end of last year’s Rp272.43 billion.
For your information, there are currently only four guarantee companies in Indonesia, namely Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo), Penjaminan Kredit Pengusaha Indonesia (PKPI), Jamkrida Jatim, and Jamkrida Bali.
