JAKARTA - The earthquake and tsunami disaster in Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) has caused immense suffering for the people. Therefore, recovery efforts require support from various parties, including the continuity of education in Palu and the affected areas.
To support the acceleration of recovery efforts in Palu and Donggala, Central Sulawesi, after the disaster, Perum Jamkrindo has once again provided social assistance, which was directly handed over by the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Randi Anto. This assistance is a continuation of the aid previously provided by Perum Jamkrindo to the people of Palu and its surrounding areas.
In this distribution of continued aid, Perum Jamkrindo has partnered with the Indonesian Guarantee Companies Association (Asippindo), the Association of Jamkrindo Employees' Wives (PIKA), and Kowajasa Group. Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, stated that in this distribution, Perum Jamkrindo provided assistance for the construction of a library and a reading garden for SD Negeri 1 Biromaru. Additionally, Perum Jamkrindo also provided classroom construction for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Khairaat Pengawu.
"This is not the first time we have provided assistance in Palu-Donggala. Previously, we have sent continuous aid through various state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that were appointed as coordinators for the distribution of disaster relief in Palu and Donggala, as well as directly to the people of Palu," said Randi.
As a company that places significant importance on human resource development, Perum Jamkrindo consistently pays great attention to education. For instance, during the 48th anniversary celebration in July last year, Perum Jamkrindo celebrated by donating educational packages to schools across Indonesia, setting a record with the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI).
In addition to providing educational assistance to schools, Perum Jamkrindo also provided support to employees and outsourced workers within Jamkrindo, involving Kowajasa Group as the employee cooperative of Perum Jamkrindo. "I also appreciate the dedication of all the people of Perum Jamkrindo, who enthusiastically worked together to help lighten the burden of the people in Palu through independent fundraising efforts," said Randi.
To support the acceleration of development in Palu and Donggala, Perum Jamkrindo is committed to providing excellent guarantee services. In addition to helping the general public, Perum Jamkrindo also provided aid to its employees who were affected by the disaster. The total value of aid distributed to the public and Perum Jamkrindo employees amounted to Rp 375 million. This continued aid is expected to help speed up the post-disaster recovery in Palu and Donggala.
The Principal of SD Negeri 1 Biromaru, Rahmawati, expressed her appreciation for Perum Jamkrindo's concern for education. She hopes that this assistance will be beneficial and increase the students' interest in reading. "I am very grateful to Perum Jamkrindo," she said.
On this occasion, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo also took the time to meet and establish ties with the employees affected by the disaster. In addition to providing assistance, he also toured the city of Palu to assess the situation. "The synergy of SOEs to be present in the city of Palu is hoped to truly benefit the surrounding community," said Randi.
Furthermore, Erna Zubaeda, the Head of the Human Resources Management Division of Perum Jamkrindo, added that the responsive company culture is one of the keys to the success of Perum Jamkrindo in involving all its personnel in humanitarian activities and in being sensitive to social issues. Not only did Perum Jamkrindo employees collectively raise funds for disaster victims, but they also volunteered in October. "We internalize our company culture in everyday life," said Erna.
In addition to guaranteeing the KUR program, Jamkrindo also guarantees many other products, such as microcredit guarantees, general credit guarantees, multipurpose credit guarantees, distribution credit guarantees, housing finance liquidity guarantees (FLPP), as well as motor vehicle credit guarantees, surety bond guarantees, customs bond guarantees, bank guarantees or counter guarantees, supply chain financing guarantees, fintech lending guarantees, and warehouse receipt system guarantees.
