Perum Jamkrindo equipped students from the Vocational Program at the University of Indonesia (UI) through a guest lecture titled "The Role of the Guarantee Industry in the Challenges of Industry 4.0" as part of the “Goes To Campus” event. This lecture aimed to prepare students to face the industrial and digitalization era.

Sulis Usdoko, Director of HR, General Affairs, and Compliance at Perum Jamkrindo, explained that the "Goes to Campus" activity is part of the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (State-Owned Enterprises Present for the Nation) program. During the guest lecture at the University of Indonesia, Perum Jamkrindo provided students with knowledge to prepare them for the current digitalization era.

"Literacy activities like this are crucial for preparing the younger generation to be ready to transform. In this lecture, we presented material about the challenges of Industry 4.0, including the opportunities and skills that students need when they enter the workforce," said Sulis Usdoko at the University of Indonesia, Depok, West Java, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

Sulis Usdoko mentioned that the financial sector is one of the most attractive sectors for many people. Many students attending the lecture were from UI's vocational program. This high interest is not only because the financial sector offers higher salaries compared to other industries, but also due to its competitiveness and the large demand for human resources in this field.

“The Goes to Campus activity is also part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri program, which aims to educate students about the role of BUMN in economic development. On the other hand, it also introduces BUMN and its products and services that benefit society," added Sulis Usdoko.

In addition to discussing Industry 4.0, Perum Jamkrindo's Corporate Secretary, Abdul Bari, also gave a presentation on the guarantee industry. He explained that as a company with 48 years of history, Perum Jamkrindo has a strong commitment to advancing the nation's education. The company has initiated various programs to improve the quality of education, such as establishing reading gardens in various areas, providing scholarships to underprivileged students, offering educational support packages, and collaborating with universities for certified internship programs.

"Admitting students into internship programs is part of Perum Jamkrindo's contribution and responsibility to support human resource development, especially to support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) and cooperatives in the country," said Abdul Bari.

Perum Jamkrindo hopes that students gain valuable insights into the real world of work through the certified internship program. By interning at BUMN companies, students' competencies are expected to increase. When entering the workforce, these students can become skilled and competitive workers. "Currently, Perum Jamkrindo has accepted 70 participants for the certified internship program," said Sulis Usdoko.
