Perum Jamkrindo Facilitates Housing Credit for Employees

Perum Jamkrindo has facilitated all of its employees with a housing ownership financing program. This program is a collaboration between Jamkrindo, PT BRI Multifinance Indonesia, and PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero) or SMF.

Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, stated that all employees can easily access credit with a housing financing ceiling of up to IDR 700 million with a fixed interest rate for 20 years. This certainty follows the launch of the financing program for all Jamkrindo employees on Monday, September 10, 2018.

"The ceiling and the fixed interest rate for up to 20 years are very attractive because conventional financing generally applies a fixed interest rate for only a few years, and then follows the market interest rate. Additionally, the debt-to-service ratio (DSR) can reach 40% of the take-home pay, which is higher than the common DSR applied in housing ownership credit, which is 30% of take-home pay," said Randi Anto during his speech at the housing ownership financing program launch in Jakarta, Monday, September 10, 2018.

According to Randi Anto, besides providing a maximum financing ceiling of IDR 700 million, employees who take advantage of this facility can choose the type of property they desire, whether it is a ready-to-occupy landed house or a ready-to-occupy apartment. Employees can also choose to apply for financing for properties anywhere in Indonesia. The process will also be much easier compared to handling it individually and will be conducted through salary deductions by the company.

"We are grateful and thankful for the synergy that has been successfully established with SMF and BRI Finance. With this collaboration, employees' housing needs can now be fulfilled. We are confident this will have a positive impact on the company's performance," Randi explained.

At the same event, Ananta Wiyogo, the President Director of SMF, revealed that the distribution of Jamkrindo employees' housing loans is a form of BUMN synergy and the first pilot project, with the hope that this product can be applied with various other parties, enabling people to achieve decent and affordable home ownership.

"Through this collaboration, we hope that this product can also be applied with various other parties, allowing more people to achieve affordable and decent home ownership," said Ananta.

Meanwhile, Wisto Prihadi, the President Director of BRI Finance, expressed his hopes that this type of collaboration could be implemented in other BUMN institutions. He also expressed gratitude for being trusted with the housing financing synergy for Jamkrindo employees. "BRI Finance is ready to establish collaborations that complement both SMF and other BUMN institutions," said Wisto.

The launch event of the Housing Financing Program for Jamkrindo Employees was also attended by the board of directors from companies affiliated with the State Guarantee and Insurance Association (Himppara), including PT Asuransi Sosial Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Indonesia (Persero), PT Asuransi Ekspor Indonesia (Persero), Perum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Persero), PT Jasa Raharja (Persero), PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero), PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero), PT Reasuransi Umum Indonesia (Persero), and PT Taspen (Persero). The hope is that this type of synergy model can be applied in other companies.
