Perum Jamkrindo is igniting the spirit of the red and white in Gorontalo Province.

As a state-owned enterprise (SOE) in the field of credit guarantees, Perum Jamkrindo positions itself as the locomotive for the growth of micro, small, medium-sized enterprises, and cooperatives (UMKMK). As part of its role in the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri initiative, at the age of 48, this credit guarantee SOE is present across all provinces to fully support the growth of UMKMK. This time, Gorontalo Province receives full support in strengthening the growth of UMKMK, along with a series of social initiatives from Perum Jamkrindo.

The series of social initiative activities by Perum Jamkrindo in Gorontalo Province is also part of the celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day on August 17, 2018. Specifically, Perum Jamkrindo, as a credit guarantee SOE, was entrusted with coordinating the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri activities in Gorontalo Province. Various events have been prepared to instill the red and white spirit in Gorontalo, such as the Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SMN) program, a 5KM fun walk, flag ceremonies, and fulfilling basic needs.

In the SMN program, Perum Jamkrindo will send 24 of the best students from Gorontalo Province for a student exchange program to Lampung Province for eight days to experience cultural diversity and natural wealth between provinces. Three of these students are those with special needs, and their journey will be assisted by teachers and the Gorontalo Provincial Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (Dikbudpora).

In addition to SMN, Perum Jamkrindo also celebrated Indonesia’s 73rd Independence Day by organizing a 5KM fun walk at Lapangan Taruna Remaja, Jalan Ahmad Yani, with 3,000 participants. Furthermore, Perum Jamkrindo also built public facilities, a labor-intensive program, held a discounted market, and provided clean water facilities around the Hiu Paus Beach area in Bone Bolango Regency. “The BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri program is a commitment and a real manifestation of Perum Jamkrindo’s role for the community,” said Perum Jamkrindo’s President Director Randi Anto.

Randi explained that the presence of Perum Jamkrindo in Gorontalo Province is a concrete demonstration of its commitment and part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri (BHUN) initiative. BHUN is a program initiated by the Ministry of SOEs since 2015 to manifest SOEs’ roles in improving the welfare of people across the nation and to build understanding among stakeholders about the role of SOEs as development agents contributing to the nation’s growth.

In addition to its presence in Gorontalo, Perum Jamkrindo has also carried out other BHUN activities such as providing free homecoming (mudik) services and a Ramadan safari. This year, Perum Jamkrindo has sent 1,300 homecoming participants, distributed 4,800 free food packages, and provided assistance to 3,470 orphans during the Ramadan safari. Soon, Perum Jamkrindo will also participate in the Free Electricity Connection program for underprivileged families and undertake home renovations for employees.

As the only state-owned enterprise (SOE) in the field of credit guarantees, Perum Jamkrindo supports the development of the national economy. Established in 1970, Perum Jamkrindo is trusted to be the locomotive for the growth of micro, small, medium-sized enterprises, and cooperatives (UMKMK) in Indonesia through its guarantee services.
