KUPANG - Perum Jamkrindo, as part of the BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises) synergy initiative, conducted a social activity in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, including the construction of 60 houses for veterans of the East Timor integration struggle and providing educational support through book donations and school renovations.
This initiative was led by the Ministry of BUMN, with Minister Rini Soemarno and Perum Jamkrindo's President Director Randi Anto present on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Kupang.
The house-building project was a collaboration between Perum Jamkrindo and other BUMNs, such as PT Angkasa Pura I, PT Asabri, PT Pegadaian, PT Pelindo III, and PT BTN, totaling Rp 4.5 billion. Additionally, Perum Jamkrindo contributed Rp 500 million to renovate and provide books for SMA Negeri 7 Kupang.
CSR/BL assistance in East Nusa Tenggara amounted to Rp 17.5 billion, distributed in Kupang, Larantuka, and Adonara. The contributions included educational scholarships for 20 elementary, 20 middle school, 20 high school students, and 10 university students at Cendana University. Other donations included the renovation of four elementary schools in Kupang, including SD Inpres Labat, SDN Maulafa, SDN Naikoten, and SDN Oehendak, as well as the renovation of SMP N 13 Kupang. The CSR also included skills training for local businesses and the provision of cold boxes for 20 fishermen.
In Larantuka, CSR activities also included educational scholarships, school renovations, infrastructure support, and empowerment for the local economy, including training in sewing, tourism, and the provision of clean water systems.
This BUMN synergy initiative received support from other BUMNs such as Bank Mandiri, BRI, PT PLN, PT ASDP, Pertamina, Pegadaian, PT AP 2, PT Garuda Indonesia, and BTN. Randi Anto, President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, emphasized that this social activity is part of the BUMN commitment to contribute to the country. "Through this synergy, more people will feel the presence of BUMNs across Indonesia," he stated.
Perum Jamkrindo, founded on July 1, 1970, continues to focus on supporting the growth of Indonesia’s micro, small, medium, and cooperative enterprises (UMKMK) through credit guarantees.
