Perum Jamkrindo, through its Shariah Guarantee Division, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lembaga Pengelola Dana Bergulir Koperasi, Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (LPDB-KUMKM), to provide guarantees (Kafalah) for financing facilities under both conventional and Shariah schemes from LPDB-KUMKM to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Cooperatives (UMKMK).
The MoU was signed by Perum Jamkrindo’s Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management, I. Rusdonobanu, and the President Director of LPDB-KUMKM, Braman Setyo, with the Director of Guarantee Business of Perum Jamkrindo, Amin Mas’udi, witnessing the signing in Semarang on Thursday, December 21, 2017.
I. Rusdonobanu stated that the signing of this MoU for providing guarantees (Kafalah) for both conventional and Shariah financing schemes marks a continuation of the cooperation between Perum Jamkrindo and LPDB-KUMKM, which has been in place for conventional financing guarantees since 2014. The addition of Shariah financing guarantees is expected to provide easier capital strengthening for Shariah-based MSMEs.
The financing aims to enhance the performance of both parties, by increasing the realization of financing by LPDB-KUMKM and the volume of guarantees provided by Perum Jamkrindo. Furthermore, Perum Jamkrindo's network of outlets and branches will enable LPDB-KUMKM to expand its reach and tap into the potential for developing MSMEs across Indonesia.
