Perum Jamkrindo spearheaded the social service event titled Sail Sabang 2017 in Bengkulu Province, collaborating with several other state-owned enterprises (BUMN) such as PT PLN (Persero), PT Jasa Raharja (Persero), and PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero), as well as the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL).
The event was attended by Perum Jamkrindo’s President Director Randi Anto, Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management I. Rusdonobanu, and Assistant for Economy and Development of the Bengkulu Provincial Government, Ari Narsa, who represented the Governor of Bengkulu. Additionally, leaders of BUMN in Bengkulu, local government representatives from the Bengkulu province, and officials from the Indonesian Navy at Lanal Bengkulu and KRI Banda Aceh also attended the event.
This activity was part of the “BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri” program during the Sail Sabang event in Bengkulu, which took place from December 12-14, 2017, and was also a part of the Lingkar Nusantara voyage on the KRI Banda Aceh ship.
The Sail Sabang 2017 event series was initiated by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs each year, and Perum Jamkrindo was appointed by the Ministry of BUMN to coordinate the Environmental Development (Bina Lingkungan) activities during the Sail Sabang 2017 event.
During this social event, Perum Jamkrindo provided Environmental Development assistance in the form of 3,000 food packages, 100 Qurans, 100 Bibles, 500 prayer rugs, and 25 sets of mass service equipment. These were distributed at every stop of the KRI Banda Aceh ship, including in Sabang (646 packages), Batam (381 packages), Belawan (705 packages), Padang (463 packages), and Bengkulu (570 packages). The remaining 235 packages were distributed to the ship's crew. In addition, Perum Jamkrindo also conducted health check-ups and a mass circumcision event in Bengkulu.
Randi Anto, President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, stated that this social activity was a manifestation of the "BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri" program, with Perum Jamkrindo participating in the development of Indonesia both directly, through involvement in national strategic projects, and indirectly, through contributions to state revenue.
“Through the Sail Sabang-Bengkulu 2017 program, by supporting the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri initiative, it is hoped that BUMNs in Indonesia can make the best contributions to the nation and all the people of Indonesia,” said Randi Anto.
Previously, Perum Jamkrindo was also involved in the Sail Sabang event held from November 28 to December 5, 2017, which culminated in an event attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla on December 2, 2017, in Sabang, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.
