Perum Jamkrindo, in collaboration with PT Sucofindo (Persero) and the Government of Bangka Belitung (Babel), organized several activities as part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri program. This program is a commitment to improving the welfare of the community and fostering national unity.
One of the recent activities carried out was the Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SMN) program, which was followed by other planned events such as a house renovation for veterans (Bedah Rumah Veteran), a healthy walk (Jalan Sehat), and the flag-raising ceremony on August 17.
"This BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri program is a tangible manifestation of Perum Jamkrindo's role as a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) in the community," said I. Rusdonobanu, Director of Finance, Investment, and Risk Management at Perum Jamkrindo, during the closing ceremony of the SMN program at the Governor's residence in Bangka Belitung on Monday, July 24, 2017.
Perum Jamkrindo, the only BUMN specializing in credit guarantee services for MSMEs and cooperatives, has been regularly organizing the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri program since 2015. In previous years, these activities have been carried out in places such as Aceh, Palu in Central Sulawesi, and now in Bangka Belitung.
This program, initiated by the Ministry of BUMN and supported by BUMN organizations across Indonesia, aims to commemorate Indonesia's Independence Day in 2017. It is being carried out in all 34 provinces of Indonesia, supported by local governments, especially the Provincial Education and Culture Offices.
Rusdonobanu highlighted that the purpose of this event is to build an understanding among stakeholders regarding the role of BUMNs as development agents contributing to the nation.
"Through this activity, participants and stakeholders are expected to develop a positive view of the Ministry of BUMN and all BUMNs in Indonesia, which have played a significant role in improving the nation's welfare through real actions that have a direct impact on the community," he said.
For the Siswa Mengenal Nusantara (SMN) program this year, Diana Mayawati, Head of the Accounting Division and PKBL (Partnership and Community Development Program), explained that Perum Jamkrindo and Sucofindo collaborated with the local government, especially the Provincial Education and Culture Office of Bangka Belitung, to send 20 students to West Java. On the same day, 25 students from West Java who passed the selection process arrived in Bangka Belitung.
The implementation of the SMN program in Bangka Belitung was coordinated by Perum Jamkrindo and Sucofindo, while in West Java, the program was supported by Bank Mandiri, PT Bio Farma, PT Jasa Tirta II, and PTPN VIII.
"This program is part of the efforts to nurture and foster a sense of national pride among the people of Indonesia, from all corners of the country," said Diana.
The SMN activities were filled with various events, such as visits to schools and BUMN companies, cultural exchanges among students, visits to tourist attractions, local MSME centers, and tin mining companies. The program also included learning about entrepreneurship and the business processes of BUMNs, allowing participants to understand the role of state-owned enterprises in nation-building.
The goal of the SMN program is to instill a sense of pride and unity, highlighting Indonesia's cultural diversity, regional languages, and ethnic groups, while demonstrating the real contributions of BUMNs to society.
