Perum Jamkrindo's Ramadan Safari Visits Mandailing Natal

The Safari Ramadhan activities by Perum Jamkrindo continued with a visit to Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, on June 17, 2017. The journey to this district was quite tiring, taking approximately 5 hours of travel by road (137 km) from Pandan, the capital of Tapanuli Tengah. The Ramadhan Safari team had previously made a stop at Dr. Ferdinand Lumban Tobing Airport, Tapanuli Tengah.

This Ramadhan Safari was part of the series of events celebrating the 47th anniversary of Perum Jamkrindo, which falls on July 1, 2017. The event was attended by officials from Perum Jamkrindo, who carried out visits to several regional offices to foster relationships, provide guidance, and motivate employees to enhance their performance. The event also included social activities, such as giving donations to orphaned children in Perum Jamkrindo's work areas in the region.

During the visit to Mandailing Natal, the team was represented by the Head of the SPI Division, Mr. Untung Heri, the Head of the Regional Office I, Mr. Adnan Lukman Hatta, and the Head of the Medan Branch, Mr. Abdillah Putra. They gathered for Iftar (breaking of fast) and distributed donations to orphans at the Siti Aisyah Orphanage located in Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal. Before visiting the orphanage, the Safari Ramadhan team also took time to stop by and purchase souvenirs from one of the local UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in the region, Kampung Kaos Madina (KKM). Sobir Lubis, the owner of KKM, warmly welcomed Perum Jamkrindo's presence in Mandailing Natal and expressed hope that this BUMN would further maximize the potential of local UMKM in the district.

Upon arrival at the Siti Aisyah Orphanage, the team was warmly welcomed by the children and staff. The orphanage is directly managed by the Social Service of Mandailing Natal District.

Mr. Untung Heri explained that the Safari Ramadhan program by Perum Jamkrindo is not only held in Mandailing Natal but also in other areas across Perum Jamkrindo's work regions throughout Indonesia, including Watampone in South Sulawesi, Tanjung Selor in North Kalimantan, Flores in East Nusa Tenggara, and Lubuk Linggau in South Sumatra.

The Mandailing Natal Safari Ramadhan event was also held as part of the preparations for the opening of a new Customer Service Unit (KUP) in the district. "Preparations are still ongoing, and in two or three months, we aim to have the KUP in Mandailing Natal operational," said Mr. Untung. Through the KUP, he hopes that Perum Jamkrindo will be able to better serve the UMKM community in Mandailing Natal.

The donation to the orphanage was a testament to how Perum Jamkrindo, as a state-owned enterprise (BUMN), can benefit the surrounding community. In addition to providing donations to each of the 52 children at the orphanage, Perum Jamkrindo also contributed operational support to the Siti Aisyah Orphanage.

On behalf of the orphanage, Mr. Mrul Rangkuti, an Islamic religious leader in Mandailing Natal, expressed deep gratitude to Perum Jamkrindo for their care and support for the orphans in the region. He also prayed for Perum Jamkrindo's continued success, wishing that the company could help even more people in need in the future.
