JAKARTA – The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has set a target for the People’s Business Credit (KUR) to reach Rp18 trillion this year.
"We are targeting national KUR to reach Rp18 trillion," said Minister of SOEs Mustafa Abubakar during the Mandiri Entrepreneurship event at JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (20/1/2011).
In 2020, the minimum KUR target was Rp13.1 trillion, while the actual disbursement reached Rp17.1 trillion. Mustafa further explained that PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) disbursed Rp2.1 trillion in KUR in 2010, exceeding the initial target of Rp1.845 trillion.
He added that Bank Mandiri's entrepreneurship program is an excellent initiative as it fosters an entrepreneurial mindset, particularly among young people.
"This program deserves to be a flagship initiative and can serve as a model for other SOEs to follow," he concluded.
For reference, Bank Mandiri disbursed Rp2.1 trillion in KUR in 2010, achieving 113.82% of the government’s target of Rp1.84 trillion.
Since 2007, Bank Mandiri has disbursed a total of Rp3.61 trillion in KUR to more than 74,000 debtors. Most of the KUR funding was allocated to:
- Agriculture and livestock sectors (50.34%) benefiting 49,000 debtors
- Trade sector (38.96%) benefiting 22,000 debtors
- The remaining portion was allocated to other sectors.
