Denpasar | As a company managing state capital, as of July 31, 2016,
Perum Jamkrindo had assets amounting to Rp.12.5 trillion, equity of Rp.9.6 trillion, and was able to generate a pre-tax profit of Rp.440.8 billion. "Jamkrindo's ability to remain on a positive track by generating profit is inseparable from the application of prudential principles in claim payments and effective subrogation collection efforts by involving the Attorney General's Office handling civil and state administrative legal matters through Legal Opinion, Legal Assistance, Mediation for Subrogation Settlement, etc.," said Perum Jamkrindo President Director Diding S. Anwar yesterday.
Previously, Perum Jamkrindo and Jam Datun of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia had signed a Joint Agreement Number: 08/Jamkrindo/OP-03/II/2016 -- B-050/G/Gs.1/02/2016 dated February 3, 2016, concerning the Handling of Legal Issues in the Civil and State Administrative Sectors.
"Based on this Joint Agreement, Perum Jamkrindo Branch Offices and High Prosecutor’s Offices throughout Indonesia have followed up by signing cooperation agreements for their respective working areas," he said. The legal cooperation in the civil and state administrative sectors includes legal assistance, legal considerations, and legal actions.
With the issuance of two legal products by the Government, namely Law Number 1 of 2016 on Guarantees and Government Regulation Number 1 of 2016 on the Implementing Institution for the Warehouse Receipt System Guarantee, the cooperation between Perum Jamkrindo and the Attorney General's Office, particularly in handling legal issues in the civil and state administrative sectors, has become increasingly relevant, especially in enhancing legal knowledge, awareness, and prudence in making claim decisions. This enables early risk mitigation and financial safeguarding for the state.
In the management of subrogation, as of July 31, 2016, the total national Subrogation Receivables amounted to Rp.4,174,819,328,180. During the period from January to July 2016, the company recorded subrogation revenue of Rp.127,133,496,408, while claims paid during the same period amounted to Rp.455,559,752,792.
Currently, Perum Jamkrindo has a network across all provincial capitals and several cities/regencies, consisting of 9 Regional Offices, 1 Special Branch Office, 55 Branch Offices, and 10 Marketing Unit Offices. To support operations and services, Perum Jamkrindo has deployed the Guarantee Service Mobile Unit, which was launched on April 21, 2016.
"Hopefully, with the signing of this Joint Agreement, the synergy between Perum Jamkrindo and the Attorney General's Office can protect the management of state finances effectively and safeguard state finances from an early stage," said Diding.
