DPR Approves 20 SOEs to Receive PMN Funds of IDR 44.38 Trillion

JAKARTA | Chairman of Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Teguh Juwarno, read out the decision of Commission VI to approve the amount of state capital participation (PMN) for 20 state-owned enterprises (BUMN) from the previous total of 23 BUMN. The agreed amount is Rp44.38 trillion for these 20 BUMN.

The Rp44.38 trillion includes Rp16.13 trillion in non-cash PMN and Rp28.25 trillion in cash PMN. The provision of PMN to these 20 BUMN is for priority programs to help Indonesia's economic growth.

"The provision of PMN to these BUMN is prioritized for government programs that support economic growth, namely infrastructure development and the sovereignty of energy, food, and the sustainability of people's business credit (KUR) and MSMEs," he said in the meeting room of Commission VI of DPR RI in Jakarta, Thursday (June 23, 2016).

Additionally, Teguh also reminded that BUMN receiving PMN must use it wisely by improving good corporate governance. "So that in the future, these BUMN can grow bigger and become independent," added Teguh.
