Brebes | The government continues to strive to promote a people-centered economy to strengthen the national economy. One of these efforts is the Synergy Action Program for the People's Economy, launched by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Brebes, Central Java.
This national program, implemented under the coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (Kemenko Perekonomian), also involves the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kementerian Koperasi dan UKM), the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag), the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes), and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).
In this initiative, one of the programs to be synergized to provide decent work or business opportunities for farmers, livestock breeders, and fishermen is the land or land certification program for farmers through the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the Ministry of BUMN, and state-owned banks.
Another program is the synergy between the People's Business Credit (KUR) Program and the Financial Market Inclusion or Deepening Program. This synergy aims to facilitate business actors in accessing financial services in rural areas. This program is a collaboration between the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, and the banking sector.
One of the key points emphasized by President Joko Widodo is the issue of capital for farmers, livestock breeders, and fishermen. "For capital issues, we now have KUR with an interest rate of only 9% per year. It used to be 22%, so this is already very cheap. Use this, don't go to loan sharks," he said in Brebes on Monday, April 11, 2016.
At the event, the Indonesian President, known for his signature long-sleeved white shirt, also visited the Jamkrindo booth and engaged in a dialogue with representatives from Jamkrindo Semarang.
