Denpasar | The Denpasar branch of Perum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) recorded the realization of credit guarantees for business actors in Bali utilizing the people's business credit (KUR) in 2015, reaching Rp450 billion.
The Head of the Denpasar Branch of Jamkrindo, Muhamad Solihin, expressed optimism that his party could achieve the KUR guarantee realization target of Rp1 trillion in 2016.
“We are optimistic about reaching that target because from the beginning of the year until March 2016, the total KUR guarantee has already reached Rp400 billion,” he explained when met in Denpasar on Tuesday (29/3/2016).
He added that the majority of sectors utilizing KUR are in trade, as it is the most accessible and widely engaged sector by the community.
“The trade sector alone accounts for almost 80%, with the highest concentration in Denpasar, as it does not require specialized skills. Meanwhile, other sectors such as agriculture are relatively smaller,” he stated.
He revealed that in 2016, they would target the agriculture and marine sectors, which are considered quite promising. Additionally, the share of these two sectors in utilizing KUR remains low.
“As a guarantee institution, we follow what has been processed by the banks. We also conduct socialization and promotions, such as field visits and meetings with customers who are unfamiliar with KUR, directing them to banks.
