Jakarta | Bank Mandiri has established a partnership with Perum Jamkrindo regarding the guarantee of Unsecured Loans (KTA). The objective of this corporate action is to increase the realization of loans or financing by Bank Mandiri while also boosting the guarantee volume by Perum Jamkrindo.
"This collaboration has a tenure of one year, and we are targeting Rp 1 trillion for credit guarantees," said Director of Guarantee Business at Perum Jamkrindo, Bakti Prasetyo, in Jakarta, Friday (18/3). Meanwhile, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk aims for a 22% growth in KTA in 2016.
The signing of this guarantee cooperation agreement was carried out by Bank Mandiri’s Director of Consumer Banking, Hery Gunardi, and Perum Jamkrindo’s Director of Guarantee Business, Bakti Prasetyo, at Plaza Mandiri, Jakarta, Friday (18/3).
"This cooperation aligns with Mandiri's strategy to drive quality and healthy retail business growth. Specifically for KTA, Bank Mandiri hopes to achieve a 22% business growth this year," said Hery Gunardi.
At the end of 2015, Bank Mandiri's KTA portfolio was around Rp 14.1 trillion, growing by 19% from the previous year, with a low Nonperforming Loan (NPL) ratio of around 0.67%.
"As one of the leading players in the guarantee industry, Jamkrindo will be able to provide a protection scheme that benefits both the company and KTA customers, ensuring that customers remain confident in utilizing Mandiri KTA," said Hery.
Through this cooperation, Hery stated that both companies believe they will gain significant benefits for their respective business developments.
"Jamkrindo's role is essential for Bank Mandiri. As a guarantee partner, Jamkrindo helps minimize the credit risks that we channel to the public, especially through this KTA credit," he said.
Meanwhile, Bakti Prasetyo added that the two companies had already maintained a long-standing partnership. According to him, with the enactment of the Guarantee Law, the role and function of guarantee institutions will become even broader, with this cooperation serving as proof of that expansion.
"This collaboration aims to further enhance the performance of each stakeholder, including increasing the realization of loans/financing by Bank Mandiri while also boosting the guarantee volume by Perum Jamkrindo," he said.
Previously, Perum Jamkrindo had also provided guarantees for Bank Mandiri’s FLPP Mortgage Program (Housing Finance Liquidity Facility), where the company had disbursed FLPP mortgage financing to 2,600 accounts amounting to Rp 210 billion by the end of 2015. (team)
