Sukabumi | Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Menkop UKM) AAGN Puspayoga launched the Micro and Small Business License (IUMK) card for business actors in Sukabumi Regency.
The launch of the IUMK card was marked by the symbolic handover of the IUMK card to two business actors, namely Yuda, the owner of Pondok Batik Kreasi in Cisaat District, and Nur Nurjanah, the owner of Aneka Kue dan Kripik Aster in Cibadak District.
The launch and handover of the IUMK card took place at the Integrated Business Service Center for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (PLUT-KUMKM), Jalan Raya Cibadak-Palabuhanratu, Cikembang, Cikembar District, on Wednesday (2/12/2015).
"This IUMK card aims to provide legal certainty and empowerment facilities for micro, small, and medium enterprises and cooperatives in building and developing their businesses," said Puspayoga.
According to Puspayoga, the launch of the IUMK card is supported by the Indonesian Credit Guarantee Association (Assipondo) and Perum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) in collaboration with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).
"We continue to expand and launch services to obtain IUMK in various regions to build synergy between the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and local governments," said Puspayoga.
Deputy Minister for Business Development and Restructuring at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Braman Setyo, explained that IUMK is a micro and small business license granted or issued by the village head or sub-district head free of charge.
"Then this IUMK card can be used as a requirement for capital loans from BRI with financing guarantees from Assipondo," explained Braman, who is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perum Jamkrindo.
With the IUMK card, Braman continued, MSME actors can enhance their competitiveness and compete at the international level, especially in facing the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) at the end of 2015.
"In Sukabumi Regency, the local government has issued regulations on granting small business licenses. Thus, this momentum will provide opportunities for micro and small business actors to be more competitive," added Braman.
Braman added that the launch of IUMK is a mandate of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 98 of 2012 concerning Micro and Small Business Licensing, where micro and small business actors receive business certainty in locations designated by the local government with easier access to bank financing.
