JAKARTA | Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia or Perum Jamkrindo has signed a cooperation agreement with PT BRI Agroniaga regarding consumer credit guarantees. This cooperation is expected to expand access and financial services in the consumer credit sector.
Perum Jamkrindo President Director Diding S. Anwar stated that this cooperation aims to improve the performance of both companies, Jamkrindo and BRI Agro. Additionally, after this cooperation, it is expected that the public will be able to utilize credit products in the consumer sector more effectively.
Diding said that with this cooperation, Jamkrindo is optimistic that the guarantee business will continue to grow. "It is expected that BRI Agro’s credit realization and Jamkrindo’s guarantee volume will increase," said Diding on Wednesday (2/12).
Jamkrindo itself has set a target for credit guarantees to reach Rp 77 trillion in 2015, an increase of 83.3% compared to the previous year.
Perum Jamkrindo, as a guarantee company, will provide guarantees to Bank BRI Agroniaga.
Both institutions will provide access to people who have not yet received capital access so they can obtain financing, particularly consumer credit.
By the end of October 2015, Jamkrindo recorded a pre-tax profit of Rp 619.5 billion, an increase of 15.42% from the previous year. This profit achievement has reached 91.53% of Perum Jamkrindo’s Corporate Budget Work Plan (RKAP) target for 2015.
Meanwhile, the company’s total assets amounted to Rp 10.02 trillion. This value increased compared to the total assets at the end of 2014, which stood at Rp 10.48 trillion. As of October 2015, equity was recorded at Rp 8.47 trillion, an increase of 21.42% compared to the previous year. Jamkrindo has established a service network in 34 provinces and 21 districts/cities.
