JAKARTA — Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) recorded total credit guarantees amounting to IDR 25.99 trillion in 2009.
“This figure was derived from two main components — credit guarantees of IDR 25.433 trillion and guarantees for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of IDR 557.402 billion,” said Jamkrindo President Director Nahid Hudaya during a hearing with Commission VI of the House of Representatives at the DPR Building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, May 31, 2010.
For its credit guarantee portfolio, Jamkrindo had set a target of IDR 23.4 trillion for 2009, yet it ultimately achieved guarantees totaling IDR 25.4 trillion. “The company is committed to working diligently by expanding its guarantee service network across provinces through the establishment of new branch offices,” he added.
To further support the financing of sharia-based SMEs, management also intends to extend sharia guarantees. In addition, the company plans to engage in co-guarantee arrangements with Regional Credit Guarantee Institutions (LPKD) to facilitate easier access for these institutions to bank financing.
