Jakarta – Amid Indonesia’s critical economic conditions, PT Jamkrindo Syariah, a subsidiary of PT Jamkrindo, is actively targeting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as non-MSMEs.
President Director of PT Jamkrindo Syariah, Kadar Wisnu Warman, stated that sharia guarantees play a crucial role in mitigating financing distribution risks. “At the same time, it can create financial inclusion,” he said during a press conference at Gelora Bung Karno on Tuesday, September 29, 2015.
Kadar sees Indonesia’s Muslim-majority population as potential for expanding the sharia financial industry.
Head of Socialization and Communication at Asbisindo, Beni Wicaksono, stated that Indonesia currently ranks fourth in the world in the Islamic country index. “This shows that our sharia banking is still superior,” he said.
To date, PT Jamkrindo Syariah has guaranteed loans with a guarantee volume of Rp2.2 trillion for 17 thousand partners. The service fee revenue received by the company has reached Rp19 billion. This achievement, according to Kadar, has increased the company’s assets from Rp250 billion to Rp267.08 billion.
"The guarantee volume of the parent company’s (Perum Jamkrindo) sharia business unit up to August 31, 2015, reached Rp1.12 trillion with accrual basis revenue of Rp63.83 billion," he said.
President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Diding S. Anwar, hopes that this sharia financing will effectively support small sectors, thereby boosting economic growth.
