Jakarta | Perusahaan Umum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) won second place in the prestigious annual event, the Annual Report Award (ARA) 2014. The event, organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in collaboration with six other institutions, announced 11 winner categories and one special award.
Perum Jamkrindo was ranked second in the Non-Listed State-Owned Financial Enterprises category, surpassing other nominees among 294 participants. Perum Jamkrindo President Director Diding S. Anwar expressed gratitude for this achievement. He hoped this accomplishment would further motivate all employees to perform better. "We are grateful. However, we should not be complacent, and hopefully, we can do even better next year," he said at the Ritz Carlton SCBD on Tuesday night (22/09/2015).
According to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, who is also the Executive Supervisor of Capital Market at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Nurhaida, this award was given in line with the development of good corporate governance (GCG) practices.
She added that corporate governance practices in Indonesia continue to improve in accordance with the evolving standards and practices of GCG. In ARA 2014, several changes were made to align assessment criteria with OJK regulations on governance and the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard criteria implemented within the framework of the ASEAN Capital Market Forum (ACMF).
"This is also part of the implementation process of the ASEAN Economic Community program that is being carried out this year," said Nurhaida.
The judging process, she explained, involved several stages of assessment of annual reports from all participants, including multiple rounds of checks and verifications. Based on these assessments, the Jury Panel determined the nominees in each category to proceed to the interview stage.
The 11 winner categories in ARA 2014, ranked from first to third place, are as follows:
