LLP-KUKM Promotes Products and Opens UKM Workshops

Jakarta | The Cooperative and Small and Medium Enterprises Marketing Service Agency (LLP-KUKM) of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs continues to promote and market SME products to prepare them for competition in the global market. One of its initiatives is the establishment of Galeri Indonesia WOW.

The SME Smesco Gallery, managed by LLP-KUKM at the SME Tower, Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, is known as an outlet for SMEs from all over Indonesia. The location will be transformed into Galeri Indonesia WOW and designed to facilitate the advancement of marketing and promotion for its partner SMEs.

"LLP-KUKM, as the manager of Smesco RumahKU (the home of cooperatives and SMEs), continuously encourages the marketing of SME products. One of the efforts is upgrading the Smesco gallery by establishing Galeri Indonesia WOW," said Ahmad Zabadi, President Director of LLP-KUKM, recently.

According to Zabadi, the design concept for the first and second floors—now nearly complete—follows the principles of positioning, differentiation, and branding of Galeri Indonesia WOW.

Zabadi explained that Galeri Indonesia WOW is a rebranding concept of the SME Gallery at the SME Tower, which has served as a permanent display space for cooperative and SME products. Additionally, it will become a meeting point for small business actors with creative professionals, private equity investors, youth, women, and netizens.

Compared to the previous SME Gallery, Galeri Indonesia WOW has five differentiations: it serves as an Experiment Lab, Curated Concept Store, Co-working Space, Investor Meeting Place, and Creative Hub.

Zabadi elaborated that the Experiment Lab will function as a testing center, workshop, or studio for cooperative and SME players. Here, members of Galeri Indonesia WOW can test or showcase the superiority of their products to visitors.

"In the Experiment Lab, members can demonstrate the production process and simultaneously test the quality of their products," he said.

The Curated Concept Store is an outlet selling cooperative and SME products that have been curated by a board of experts. These curators are specialists in their fields, responsible for selecting which products qualify for display at Galeri Indonesia WOW.

There will be 30 curated stores, with each store featuring a single brand or SME. To accommodate more curated cooperative and SME products, Galeri Indonesia WOW will also have a pop-up market.

"We are targeting 500 curated SMEs to be showcased at Galeri Indonesia WOW this year," he added.

The Co-working Space will serve as a shared workspace for entrepreneurs who do not require private offices, including freelancers. Meanwhile, the Investor Meeting Place will become a venue where investors can meet and potentially become partners or mentors for members of Galeri Indonesia WOW.

Lastly, the Creative Hub will be a gathering spot for creative individuals such as SME players, artists, and performers who will organize events or promotional activities to attract their target market.

"We plan to launch Galeri Indonesia WOW this September," concluded Zabadi.
