Jakarta – Perum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) has established a marketing cooperation agreement with PT Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Al Amin. This collaboration is expected to help both companies expand their market share.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, Diding S. Anwar, and the Director of Finance and Administration of Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Al Amin, Angga Saputra Anggianto, at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Sunter, Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/9).
The signing ceremony was witnessed by all directors, division heads, and branch heads of Jamkrindo from across Indonesia, as it coincided with the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) for the second quarter of 2014.
"Consumers now prefer combined products for greater efficiency, which is why we are pursuing this synergy," said Diding S. Anwar. He explained that Jamkrindo, as a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) operating in the guarantee sector, can provide guarantees to banks for the risk of non-performing loans.
However, Jamkrindo cannot provide guarantees for life risks. This product is offered by Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Al Amin. Conversely, Al Amin, as a life insurance company, does not offer guarantees for the risk of non-performing loans.
"Through this cooperation, Jamkrindo and Al Amin can complement each other," said Diding. He added that this type of synergy is what their customers, particularly banks, are seeking today. By partnering with Jamkrindo, for example, banks can obtain guarantees for both credit and life risks, as Jamkrindo has already synergized with Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Al Amin.
Additionally, on Monday (1/9), Jamkrindo signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Propernas Griya Utama regarding the issuance of Jamkrindo's surety bonds and counter guarantees. The agreement was signed by Diding S. Anwar and Chavidz Ma’ruf, the President Director of PT Propernas.
This cooperation aims to expand Jamkrindo's market share and mitigate business risks or potential losses faced by PT Propernas Griya Utama due to vendor negligence or failure in completing their tasks.
