Jamkrindo and BNI Sign Cooperation Agreement on Bank Guarantee

Jakarta — PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia, better known as Jamkrindo, has deepened its role as Indonesia’s leading credit guarantor through a strategic partnership with state-owned lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI). The two companies signed an agreement to provide up to 5 trillion rupiah (about $305 million) in bank guarantee and standby letter of credit facilities.

The agreement was formalized by Jamkrindo’s Head of Institutional Relations Division II, Aribowo, and BNI’s Head of International and Financial Institution Division, Roekma Hari Adji, in a ceremony witnessed by BNI President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan and Jamkrindo’s Acting President Director Abdul Bari.

Mr. Bari described the partnership as a “strategic step” aimed at building long-term collaboration. “We hope this cooperation will be the beginning of a larger, more innovative collaboration with tangible impact on Indonesia’s business ecosystem. Our synergy with BNI will strengthen Jamkrindo’s role in supporting small and medium enterprises, corporations, and other sectors in need of guarantee facilities,” he said.

The deal with BNI, he added, is part of Jamkrindo’s broader strategy to expand its portfolio of non-program credit guarantees. As the largest guarantee company in Indonesia, Jamkrindo has been pursuing fundamental transformation to deliver more innovative and competitive services while maintaining professional, efficient, and sustainable operations.

“We are always open to collaboration and to deepening the development of new guarantee instruments that align with today’s market needs,” Mr. Bari said.

With the rise of the digital economy and the spread of Industry 4.0, Jamkrindo has been investing in information technology to reshape its business. Partnerships with SMEs, banks, and other financial institutions are now conducted online, whether through host-to-host systems, web services, or dedicated applications.

Jamkrindo has also developed umkmlayak.co.id, a digital marketplace that offers small businesses access to working capital and training programs. In the first half of 2025, the company guaranteed 2.79 million micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives, contributing to employment for 7.78 million workers.

“The spirit of transformation is the foundation for Jamkrindo to move forward as a leading and trusted provider of credit guarantees. We will continue to carry out fundamental changes to deliver products and services that meet the needs of our partners while addressing emerging opportunities and challenges in the guarantee business,” Mr. Bari said.
