Jamkrindo Holds Mental Health Education to Prevent Bullying in Elementary Schools

Jakarta — In anticipation of its 55th anniversary on July 1, 2025, PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) has reaffirmed its social commitment by launching a Mental Health Education and Awareness Program focused on Preventing Bullying and Sexual Violence. This initiative forms part of the company’s broader sustainability agenda aimed at fostering safe, supportive, and mentally healthy learning environments for children.

Acting President Director Abdul Bari stated that the program, which was first introduced in 2023, reflects Jamkrindo’s long-term dedication to shaping a future generation that is both mentally resilient and protected from harm.

“We believe education goes beyond academics — it encompasses character building and psychological safety,” Bari said in an official statement. “Through this program, we seek to promote a shared understanding among students, teachers, and parents about the critical need to prevent bullying and sexual violence.”

This year, the initiative kicked off in Sukabumi, with educational sessions conducted at two elementary schools — SDN Sudajayahilir and SDN Gunung Parang. The program actively engaged students, educators, and parents in open discussions about mental well-being and child protection.

Now in its third year, the program is focusing on five cities across West Java ProvinceSukabumi, Cianjur, Bogor, Purwakarta, and Bandung — regions identified by the National Commission for Child Protection as having a high incidence of bullying and sexual abuse cases involving children.

Throughout 2025, Jamkrindo plans to expand the program’s reach, bringing mental health education to a broader segment of the population. The initiative not only targets students but also includes comprehensive training for teachers and parents, fostering a community-wide effort to build a harmonious and supportive environment for Indonesia’s youth.

Jamkrindo hopes the program will empower children to pursue their education free from fear. A safe, nurturing learning environment, the company believes, is essential for shaping a generation that is intelligent, resilient, and grounded in strong values.
