Jamkrindo Provides Scholarships for Children of Military and Police Personnel
PALANGKARAYA – PT Jamkrindo has extended educational support in the form of scholarships to the children of TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) and Polri (Indonesian National Police) personnel. This initiative is part of the Educational Aid Program for TNI and Polri’s Children, initiated by Indonesia’s Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
Jamkrindo’s Corporate Secretary, Aribowo, noted that education is the key to nurturing an excellent and competitive workforce. He emphasized that the scholarship program for TNI and Polri children aligns with the SOEs’ social and environmental responsibility commitments, particularly in three strategic areas: education, the environment, and the development of micro and small enterprises.
“The Educational Aid Program for TNI and Polri’s Children, launched by the Ministry of SOEs, exemplifies the government’s proactive effort to support the academic and non-academic achievements of children whose parents serve in the Armed Forces or the Police,” said Aribowo.
During the event, Jamkrindo awarded scholarships to 16 students in Central Kalimantan, each receiving an IDR 5 million education savings fund.
“We hope this assistance motivates them to excel further and to play a meaningful role in advancing our nation,” Aribowo added.
He went on to explain that Jamkrindo’s commitment to education has long been a regular and continuous endeavor. Beyond scholarships, the company provides school infrastructure support, free eyeglasses for students, and numerous educational programs, including anti-bullying and sexual violence awareness, quality teacher development for Indonesia’s youth, and mental health education for both parents and children, among others.
“The well-being of our children reflects the progress of our nation. Hence, Jamkrindo remains proactive in enhancing educational opportunities and uplifting Indonesia’s future generations,” Aribowo remarked.
