Ternate – In celebration of Ramadan and as part of its 54th-anniversary preparations for July 1, 2024, PT Jamkrindo organized a Ramadan Safari program across several regions. This initiative includes a series of social activities such as the distribution of free food packages, donations to orphans, stipends for Quran teachers and mosque caretakers (marbots), and the provision of worship equipment for local prayer facilities.
Abdul Bari, Director of Institutional and Services at Jamkrindo, stated that the Ramadan Safari is part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
“These activities reflect Jamkrindo’s commitment to being present in the community, in line with this year’s Ramadan theme, ‘Ramadan Kareem, Purify Your Heart by Sharing.’ The distribution of food packages and donations to orphans is a regular social initiative we undertake as part of our social care efforts. We hope this assistance benefits the community,” said Abdul Bari.
The Ramadan Safari program is being carried out in 11 Jamkrindo operational units located across various regions in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Tangerang, Ternate, Tarakan, Pekanbaru, Solo, Purwakarta, Pangkal Pinang, Kediri, and Mataram.
In Ternate, Jamkrindo distributed 250 free food packages, donated to 60 orphans, provided stipends for two Quran teachers and mosque caretakers, and offered worship equipment to Darul Iftah Mosque.
Abdul Bari further hopes that this Ramadan Safari will serve as a strategic step toward strengthening relations with the Sultanate of Ternate. Jamkrindo expressed appreciation for the warm reception from the Sultanate of Ternate, who allowed the event to take place in the main pavilion of the Sultanate. “It is an honor for us to be the first company granted permission to hold an event at the main pavilion,” he added.
On a national scale, Jamkrindo has distributed 5,400 free food packages, provided donations to 648 orphans, offered stipends to 29 Quran teachers, supported 22 mosque caretakers, and donated worship equipment to 12 prayer facilities.
“We hope that this Ramadan Safari program will strengthen our sense of gratitude, deepen our relationships, and bring blessings to everyone involved,” said Abdul Bari.
The Head of the At-Taqwa Orphanage Foundation, Feni Rosita M. Fauzi, expressed gratitude to Jamkrindo. “Thank you, Jamkrindo. May the company continue to succeed and contribute to the improvement of community welfare,” she said.
