PT Jamkrindo continues its social initiatives as part of its 52nd anniversary celebration, which will culminate on July 1, 2022. This time, the leading credit guarantee company carried out a coral reef planting and social assistance distribution for orphans in Ujung Genteng, Sukabumi Regency.
Jamkrindo’s Corporate Secretary, Abdul Bari, emphasized that these social activities are part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiatives.
“In celebration of our 52nd anniversary, we are conducting various social programs, including donating 5,200 pairs of shoes for students, empowering people with disabilities through public speaking training and prosthetic limb donations, Ramadan social aid in the form of food packages, blood donation drives, scholarships for students, and various training programs to enhance UMKM competencies,” said Abdul Bari in a press release on Monday, June 27.
He highlighted that coral reef planting is one of Jamkrindo’s efforts to preserve and protect marine ecosystems, aligning with similar activities the company has undertaken since 2019 in the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark (CPUGGp).
The coral reef planting and social aid distribution in Ujung Genteng were carried out by the Jamkrindo team alongside Jamkrindo Motor Riders (JMR), a corporate community group. Ujung Genteng itself is part of Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark (CPUGGp).
Since 2019, PT Jamkrindo has been actively supporting community empowerment programs in the Ciletuh Geopark region. These initiatives began with tackling environmental issues, such as improving ecosystems and plastic waste management. Over time, the company expanded its focus to boosting local economic growth through programs designed to create a sustainable impact on community livelihoods.
Additionally, this social initiative actively engaged millennial employees from Jamkrindo Motor Riders (JMR). Their involvement aims to foster a culture of social awareness within the company while simultaneously boosting employee motivation and productivity.
