Jakarta – As part of its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, PT Jamkrindo has provided hydroponic farming training, hydroponic system installations, and educational assistance to the community in Kelurahan Petir, Cipondoh, Tangerang, Banten. This initiative aims to empower homemakers by equipping them with sustainable urban farming skills while also fostering a culture of learning among children.
Abdul Bari, Corporate Secretary of PT Jamkrindo, highlighted that hydroponic farming is a viable solution to the limited availability of agricultural land in urban areas. The training is designed to help residents, particularly homemakers, become more productive and self-sufficient through urban farming.
"This initiative is part of our commitment to social and environmental responsibility and is also one of the activities leading up to our 52nd anniversary on July 1, 2022. We hope this hydroponic training and reading corner will bring long-term benefits to the community," Abdul Bari stated.
In addition to hydroponic training, PT Jamkrindo has also set up a reading and learning corner in Kelurahan Petir to enhance children's access to educational resources and encourage a reading culture among young learners.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, Jamkrindo has rolled out various social programs, including: Distribution of 5,200 food aid packages, Donation of 550 Qurans, Financial assistance for orphanages and underprivileged children, and Provision of 5,200 pairs of shoes for students in need.
