Millennial Jamkrindo Promotes Healthy Living Behaviors Among Students in Geopark Ciletuh
JAKARTA – PT Jamkrindo, in collaboration with the Sukabumi Regional Government, has launched a Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) campaign in schools located within the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark (CPUGGp) area. The campaign was conducted simultaneously at 8 elementary schools across the region.
Putrama Wahju Setyawan, the President Director of Jamkrindo, explained that since 2019, the company has initiated several strategic programs to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including anti-plastic waste campaigns and community empowerment. The PHBS campaign specifically aims to raise health literacy, particularly within the school environment, which is especially important now that face-to-face learning has resumed.
"Instilling clean and healthy living habits from a young age is crucial so that, as they grow, children will naturally apply PHBS principles wherever they go. During the pandemic, PHBS became essential for personal protection and as a way to curb the spread of COVID-19," Setyawan stated in a press release on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
In this campaign, Jamkrindo involved its millennial staff, including participants from the Officer Development Program (ODP) and the Certified Internship Program (PMMB). The inclusion of these young talents aimed to build their emotional and social skills.
Sulis Usdoko, Director of Human Resources, General Affairs, and Compliance at Jamkrindo, mentioned that involving ODP and PMMB participants was a way to prepare them for leadership roles by enhancing their sensitivity to social issues. "The PMMB program at Jamkrindo is not just an opportunity for young talents to experience the workplace but also a way to prepare future leaders who can contribute to social and economic growth aligned with the company's core values of AKHLAK," said Sulis.
The campaign also involved direct interaction with the Geopark Youth Community, offering an opportunity for idea exchanges aimed at benefiting the development of the region. "Our empowerment efforts are always collaborative and participatory. We want to equip these young individuals to become future leaders who can drive change and innovation," Sulis added.
