In celebration of Idul Adha 1442 H, PT Jamkrindo distributed sacrificial animals to various mosques, foundations, community organizations, Islamic boarding schools, and neighborhood associations in Jabodetabek, Java, and other regions in Indonesia affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Putrama Wahju Setyawan, President Director of PT Jamkrindo, emphasized that despite the ongoing pandemic, the company remains committed to contributing to society and sharing joy with those in need. He also encouraged Jamkrindo employees to continue fostering a spirit of social care during these challenging times.
"The act of Qurban is a moment for us to cultivate empathy and care for others, following the example of Prophet Ibrahim A.S.," said Putrama in a press statement on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
This initiative aligns with the core values of BUMN – AKHLAK (Amanah, Kompeten, Harmonis, Loyal, Adaptif, and Kolaboratif). Jamkrindo actively engages in social activities, ensuring harmonious relationships with surrounding communities.
"Jamkrindo has consistently participated in meaningful social activities for the wider community. Caring for others is a fundamental value that we aim to instill in every employee. We hope that this Qurban practice serves as a valuable lesson in compassion and generosity," Putrama added.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamkrindo did not conduct Qurban slaughtering at its headquarters or branch offices. Instead, all sacrificial animals were directly distributed to various regions while strictly adhering to health protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
A total of 27 cows and 41 goats were donated, sourced from various internal programs, including: Bina Lingkungan PT Jamkrindo, Koperasi Warga Jamkrindo Sejahtera, Jumat Berbagi Jamkrindo, UPZ Jamkrindo, DKM Jamkrindo, Contributions from individual Jamkrindo employees
The distribution covered multiple regions, including: West Java: YBP Al Mustaqim, Pondok Pesantren Al Iqdam, Yayasan Guna Semesta Persada, DKM Al Istiqomah, Masjid Tajmuluk Waluran (Ciletuh), Masjid Al Barokah, DKI Jakarta: Forum Pembauran Kebangsaan, Central Java: YPI Ashidiq, Yayasan Muzaki Putra Sukoharjo, NU Care Lazisnu, East Java: Yayasan Berbagi Kasih (Bojonegoro), Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Pancasila (Surabaya).
